ALOR SETAR: Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA FC) head coach Mohd Nafuzi Mahammad Zain described the team’s victory over Kuching City FC in their Super League match last night as the best tonic for his players before they go on a two-week break in conjunction with Ramadan.

He said the win, which put the Canaries in third place in the league with 12 points, was a morale booster for the team who had previously suffered defeats in two matches, namely to Penang FC and PDRM FC.

“Alhamdulillah three important points before we rest for two weeks in conjunction with Ramadan, tonight’s (last night’s) victory is the best tonic for us and the two weeks of rest will allow recovery for any injured players.

“After collecting 12 points from five games, it’s a good achievement at the beginning of the season more so with new players, I feel grateful,” he told reporters after the match at the Darul Aman Stadium here.
